All the members at South Yorkshire bonsai association would like to congratulate vice chairman Andy Mook another fine New Talent Competition performance.
Following his recent 1st place finish in the finals of the FOBBS New Talent Compilation (NTC) in March, Andy earned the right to represent the UK in the European finals.
This involved a trip to Banska Bystrica in central Slovakia, where the EBA annual conference and NTC finals were been held. All other EBA Countries were represented at the competition where Andy managed to secure a 3rd place podium finish. This is an amazing achievement as Andy becomes only the 8th uk representative to achieve this in its 31 year history.
Following the event we asked Andy how he felt about the result
“Obviously I’m extremely proud to have had the opportunity to represent myself, my club (who’s members’ support has been amazing) and my country against the best talent in Europe. This is only my 5th year enjoying the hobby and I’m hoping this inspires the up and coming talent in the UK to enter the NTC.”
